To see as many locations as possible, a trip to historical Bath is in order, as that’s where much of the filming takes place. Around an hour and a half west of London by train, travelers can easily reach this destination and build an itinerary busting at the bodice with photo-worthy opportunities to see places such as the Bridgerton family home.

Ranger’s House: Greenwich, London

Readers can find the Wysteria-clad mansion belonging to the Bridgerton family in Greenwich, a southeastern part of London. Named Ranger’s House, this Georgian villa built in 1723 was inhabited by King George III’s sister, Princess Augusta, during the time period the show is set, so it is very much a home fit for a notable family. 

Visitors can check out this incredible residence, which houses a world-class art collection that includes medieval sculptures, ornate jewelry, and fine French tapestries.

Holburne Museum, Bath, Somerset

The Holburne Museum in the historic city of Bath is the site of Lady Danbury’s estate. This pillared building, founded by its namesake, Sir Thomas William Holburne, is open to the public and boasts over 10,000 objects, ranging from porcelain and silver to miniature portraits, books, Roman coins, and Holburne family gems collected over the last 200+ years.

Halton House, Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire

The exterior of the Bridgerton house was filmed in London, but the interior scenes, including the grand hall, staircase, hallway, and smoking room, were shot at Halton House. This elegant French-style country house sits in the Chiltern Hills near the village of Halton. Built between 1880 and 1883 for Alfred de Rothschild, it reflects the family’s signature French-inspired design. In 1918, it was sold to the Royal Air Force and now serves as the main officers’ mess at RAF Halton, one of the UK’s largest air force stations.

No. 1 Royal Crescent, Bath, Somerset

Fan favorites, the Featheringtons’ home can be found on the iconic Royal Crescent in Bath. Notably, the sanctuary of Lady Whistledown herself, Penelope, played by Nicola Coughlan, this landmark is aptly named as it forms a sweeping crescent consisting of 30 terrace houses. It’s lauded as one of the best examples of Georgian architecture in the United Kingdom.

It’s free to walk around the exterior, but gentle readers who wish to go inside can visit home no. 1, which has been turned into a museum. A five-star hotel, the Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa, is also located here.

At the end of season one, the featured couple, Simon and Daphne, move into the fictional Clyvedon Castle. In real life, the Castle’s name is Castle Howard, and its facade, entrance hall, and grounds stood in for Clyvedon. 

Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, this baroque home features symmetrical wings and a crowning dome, which took over 100 years to complete. The grounds boast temples, lakes, fountains, and woodlands surrounding the estate. Gentle readers can tour the Castle and gardens.

Wilton House, Salisbury, Wiltshire

Want to see many Bridgerton filming locations in one spot? You’re in luck. Wilton House near Salisbury seems to be a catch-all for a number of scenes within the show, as many of its gardens and staterooms are seen in numerous episodes. 

Here, you can find the Queen’s throne room, where potential diamonds present themselves to Her Majesty. Additionally, it served as the facade for the Duke of Hastings’ residence and the dining room of Clyvedon Castle. Outside Wilton House, the Palladian Bridge is where ‘the ton’ promenades. The House has been the seat of the Earls of Pembroke for over 400 years, but two-thirds of it is open to the public.

Having been visited by several Kings and Queens throughout the centuries, the 17th-century Badminton House is no stranger to real or fictional royalty. Featured in the first season as the Duke of Hastings’ London home as well as the parlour and grounds of Clyvedon Castle, this lovely estate is one you’ll have to request to visit as it’s primarily a private home.

Another fantastic location you should add to your London itinerary is Syon House. As the last surviving ducal residence (belonging to a duke), this estate appeared in season one. Its Print Room stood in for Simon’s father’s study, while the State Dining Room was used for Queen Charlotte’s dinner-time meeting with her husband, King George III.

The impressive estate was also featured in season two as The Great Conservatory stood in for the setting of Lady Danbury’s ball. Boasting grand neo-classical interiors, a load of art, and 40 acres of gardens, it’s no wonder this is chosen as a Bridgerton filming location on so many occasions.

Painshill Park, Cobham, Surrey

Looking to stroll amongst the gardens like a true member of ‘the ton.’ Head over to Surrey to check out the elegant and manicured gardens of Painshill Park, which stands in for Primrose Hill. This 18th-century garden boasts a serpentine lake, a Gothic temple, curved bridges, and winding paths from which to share gossip while wandering. It is truly a gorgeous place to take in some fresh air, but don’t miss the park’s Crystal Grotto or the Painshill Vineyard.

 Stowe Park, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire

Can’t get enough of the fresh air? Or maybe it’s just the gossip you can’t get enough of? Either way, the other picturesque park seen in the TV show is Stowe Park in Buckinghamshire. Over 300 years old, this area was used to stand in for the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, with its Temple of Venus providing the stunning backdrop to season one’s outdoor Vauxhall Ball.

Leigh Court, Abbots Leigh, Bristol

A short distance away from Bath, gentle readers will find Bristol, which is home to Leigh Court. Leigh Court’s ballrooms were a key location for many of the party scenes in season one. Famous for its renditions of modern top-charting songs covered orchestrally, viewers watched many of the characters dance here in the show. 

Set on 25 acres of private parkland, this ornate building was selected for its Regency-era features, such as its elaborate 19th-century ceilings and grand double staircase in the Great Hall. Unfortunately, this is one of the few locations on this list of Bridgerton filming locations you can no longer visit, but it can be rented out for weddings and events.

Wrotham Park, Barnet, Hertfordshire

In season two, when the Bridgertons visit their country home, Aubrey Hall, viewers see them at a Palladian mansion. Here, accompanied by the Sharmas, they play their iconic game of pall-mall. Set in the heart of a 2,500-acre estate, Wrotham Park is unfortunately not open to the public but can be hired out for parties and weddings.

Hampton Court Palace, East Moseley, London

Famous as the former home of King Henry VIII, this awe-inspiring estate stands in for Queen Charlotte’s St James’s Palace in seasons one and two of Bridgerton.

This 16th-century Palace’s exterior has been used for establishing shots of the Queen’s residence, while the interior, specifically the Great Staircase, whose walls and ceiling are covered with Renaissance paintings appears in season two. The Privy Garden is also featured in the scene where Queen Charlotte shows off her new zebras to Lady Danbury and the Sharma sisters.

Additionally, it served as the venue for Anthony and Edwina’s wedding reception party, the corridor in Benedict’s art academy, and the print studio exterior.

It was also the location for the Greek myth ballet at the Queen’s Ball in episode four of season three. 

Visitors can easily check out this royal residence from central London by taking a quick trip on a train. This estate is so massive it’s recommended to spend a good part of the day exploring the palace’s grand halls, Tudor kitchens, and 60 acres of gardens to learn about the Tudors. Those looking to experience more Tudor history can visit Anne Boleyn’s home, Hever Castle.

Basildon Park, Reading, Berkshire

Visit the 18th-century Basildon Park to see where season two’s Featherington Ball was filmed. Held in the Garden Room and parterre, in season three, the Formal Garden provided a setting for Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s first kiss. Additionally, the 18th-century interiors of Basildon became the home of a new character, a wealthy widow, Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New).  

Basildon Park stood in for the rear of the Featherington House, where at the end of season two, Kate and Anthony declare their love for each other as fireworks go off. In season three, the Park serves as the backdrop for when Penelope is reading in the garden and Colin comes to visit her.

Purchased by Francis Sykes in 1771, who built the Bath Stone mansion that stands on the estate today, the Park has changed hands a few times before it was gifted to the National Trust.

The National Trust oversees these grounds, which are fully open to visitors. Wander the trails around its wooded parkland, take in the scenic views, and enjoy a picnic.

Petworth House, Petworth, West Sussex

Boasting grand staterooms filled with art, it’s no wonder the 17th-century Petworth House was the ideal stand-in for season two’s trip to the art gallery where the disgraced Bridgertons and Sharmas attempt to repair their reputations. The filming of this scene took place in the North Gallery, but visitors are welcome to explore many of the House’s rooms, which are filled with paintings, sculptures, and works by artists such as Van Dyck, Turner, and Gainsborough.

Here, you can also get a peek into the lives of the people who worked on the estate in the Servants’ Quarters and glimpse the earliest English globe in existence, the Molyneux globe, which dates back to 1592.

Windsor Great Park, Windsor, Berkshire

Those who can’t get enough of Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, will adore Windsor Great Park as it’s the filming location where he chases a mystery woman on a horse through lush, green woodland at the start of season two. It also serves as the site of the hunting scene.

Standing in as Battersea Fields and Rotten Row, the history of these royal grounds goes back over 1,000 years. Boasting monuments, ancient forests, 500 free-roaming red deer, and gorgeous horticultural displays, the 4,800 acre Park is free to visit and includes the iconic three-mile Long Walk leading to Windsor Castle.

Grimsthorpe Castle, Bourne, Lincolnshire

Built in the 13th century from golden limestone, Grimsthorpe Castle is featured prominently in the third season and serves as Lord Hawkin’s home. It was also the location of the Innovations Ball in season three.

It features a mix of architectural styles, including Tudor and Baroque, and boasts attractions such as a central courtyard and extensive ancient parkland.

The estate is open to the public every summer, and hosts outdoor theater shows, cinema screenings, music concerts, car shows, storytelling sessions in the adventure playground, reenactments, Tudor-themed days, and more, making it a genuinely fun-filled Bridgerton filming location to explore.

Goldmiths’ Hall. City of London, London

In season two, Goldmiths’ Hall is where the room Edwina retires to after the wedding goes wrong is located. It is also the room Anthony prepares for the wedding in and the Queen’s throne room.

Rebuilt three times over its history, Goldmiths’ Hall is home to the Goldsmiths’ Company, a livery company (a trade organization that evolved from London’s medieval guilds).

In season two, the Old Royal Naval College is where Eloise and Penelope are handed the latest dispatch from Lady Whistledown while walking through a market. Additionally, the College is used for many street exteriors in the series.

Sitting at the heart of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site, this popular filming location boasts exceptionally well-preserved Georgian buildings and of course the stunning Cutty Sark.

Those who adored the third season of Bridgerton will recognize Claydon House as the setting for Colin and Penelope’s wedding reception. Ran by the National Trust, this 18th-century house boasts English interiors in an idyllic country setting, making it the perfect backdrop for the romantic couple.

Wrest Park, Silsoe, Bedfordshire

You’ll undoubtedly recall the famous bee-sting scene between Kate and Anthony in season two. It was filmed here at Wrest Park, which is also home to the Aubrey Hall orangery, where Prudence and Lord Featherington are “caught.”

Set in an outstandingly restored English garden from the 17th century, the house is remarkable as it is a unique example of 19th-century English architecture following the style of an 18th-century French chateau.

Lancaster House, Stable Yard, London

Lancaster House is the ultimate Bridgerton filming location for those who are obsessed with Queen Charlotte’s world. It’s where you’ll find her parlor, music room, drawing room, jewelry room, and bathroom.

Commissioned by the Duke of York and Albany in 1825, it is now a British government building, which means it’s rarely open to the public. However, it sometimes opens its doors at the annual Open City event.

Kingston Bagpuize House, Kingston Bagpuize, Abingdon

Viewers of season three saw Will and Alice Mondrich move into their new home after their son inherits the title of Baron of Kent.

Chosen for its authenticity as a family home, Kingston Bagpuize House is very much lived in, which is what the production aimed for, as you can see that the furnace and dining table have been used.

West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

West Wycombe is the filming location of Phillip Crane and Marina Thompson’s house, Edmund Bridgerton dying and Violet Bridgerton giving birth in Aubrey Hall flashbacks, all the scenes on the lake with the boats, and where Anthony and Kate meet in the woods in season two. Truly a packed Bridgerton filming location, this country house built in the late 1700s is set on 45 acres of landscaped grounds.

For over 300 years, it has been the family home of the Dashwood family, who still reside there. The house is only open to the public in August, with eight ground-floor Staterooms to view, but the Park is open in the summer from Sunday to Thursday.

Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire

The extravagantly baroque 18th-century estate appeared in the Bridgerton spin-off, Queen Charlotte, as Buckingham House (later Buckingham Palace) and plays the same role in season 3 of Bridgerton.

This Georgian country estate in West London, appears in the second episode of Bridgerton season three as the location for the Full Moon Ball. The striking courtyard at the front of the house, which is framed by grand columns, made for a dreamy space for the festivity.

Osterley’s Entrance Hall, which was inspired by ancient Greece and Rome, also acted as a backdrop for several scenes.
